One of the best ways to build your brand and get more leads and sales is to start blogging.

In this post I share some blogging tips to help you get results even if you're a beginner.

Why you should start blogging

There are many reasons why you should have your own personal self hosted blog.

1) To brand yourself

2) To generate leads and sales.

The main purpose of a blog is to brand yourself and generate leads and sales.

Since people only do business with people… It makes sense to build your brand and not your network marketing or affiliate company.

Of course having a blog is not mandatory to have success in business. However, it does make it simpler because you can leverage your time.

If you write a blog post the right way you can get leads and sales over and over again from the work you did once.

On the other hand if you're just prospecting you have to do it over and over again to get customers and business builders.

To me it makes more sense to attract to right prospects to you than to have to go out and prospect.

Blogging tips for beginners

Use your blog to educate.  

A big mistake rookie marketers make is promoting their company and products all over their blog.

If you're not paying attention you could mistake their personal blog for their mlm or affiliate company blog.

Just making post about your company and the products will repel anyone from coming back to your blog.

You will be like the marketers who use their social media page to promote their opportunity…  They never recruit anyone or make any sales.

Instead of plastering your company and products all over your blog…

Provide helpful information that will actually help your readers get the results they want.

Give something away for free.

Before you try to get your readers to join your business or buy your products give them something for free. 

Having a free give away will give people a reason to come to your blog.

It's like when new restaurants hire someone to stand out side and giveaway free samples of their food.

The free samples give people a reason to come into the store and buy something.

Don't try to do it yourself.  Instead of spending hours, days, weeks or even months trying to design your blog…

Just pay someone to do it for it you.  You don't get paid to design blogs, you get paid to make sales and build teams.

If you're spending time on technical stuff that you could pay someone else to do you're wasting time.

Blog Daily.  If you really want to start getting results you should be blogging at least 5 times a week.
