Amway Scam?

Before we answer the Amway Scam question lets define the word scam.  According to the free dictionary online a scam is a fraudulent business scheme, a swindle another definition says to swindle someone by means of a trick.

Now lets look up the definition of a pyramid scheme. A pyramid scheme is defined as a fraudulent scheme in which people are recruited to make payments to the person who recruited them while expecting to receive payments from the persons they recruit; when the number of new recruits fails to sustain the hierarchical payment structure the scheme collapses with most of the participants losing the money they put in.

Now according to these 2 definitions lets see if the Amway scam claims or  pyramid scheme claims are true.  Lets look at the facts for Amway Global.

1. It is an Accredited member of the Better Business Bureau
2. It was started in 1959, and is still in business 52 years later
3. They have more than 13000 employees worldwide
4. They are a member of the Direct Selling Association or DSA
5. They are ranked in Forbes as 1 of the largest privately owned companies in the U.S.A
6. They are ranked with Deloitte as one of the largest companies in the world.
7. They do over 9 billion dollars in sales every year worldwide.

Amway Scam? NO! Absolutely Not! Anyone that thinks Amway is a scam needs to get their brain checked because they obviously can’t tell a great business opportunity when they see one.  Amway can’t be classified as a pyramid scheme either, when you are recruited as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) you don’t pay your upline any money, all of the payments come directly from Amway.  There are many Ibo’s who make more money than their personal sponsors.

Why do people make Amway Scam Claims?

The only people who are going to make Amway Scam claims is someone who doesn’t understand the concept of network marketing or someone who joined with a get rich quick mentality and had a bad experience.  By bad experience I mean someone who made no money or someone who lost money while they were in the business.

The truth is most of the reps in Amway or any other network marketing company are spending more money than they are making.  This is not because the company is bad, it is because most reps are not willing to take the time out to learn what is needed to succeed in business.  It is Just like someone who decides that they want to own a restaurant and they fail.  Does that mean that the restaurant business is a bad business?  Of course not because there are many successful restaurant that you have eaten from, but there are more restaurant owners that fail than the ones that make it.  Why is that?  Because the successful owners took the time to find out what works and what they needed to do to make the restaurant a success.

Reasons Amway Global IBO’s Fail

Lets start with why most Ibo’s are failing.  Whenever a new IBO joins Amway Global they are told to contact their family and friends along with everybody that they know and this does work when it comes to getting a small number of people into the business.   But after they run out of the warm market they try to promote Amway Global to everyone they know by sending people to their www.amway.com website, and eventually they run out of people to speak to.

Your www.amway.com website looks nice but it is not made to sell or persuade someone to sign up in the business.  This website is made to give someone more information after you have already peaked their interest.

Another reason IBO’s are failing in Amway Global is because they are spending way more money than they are making.  To join the business with the intro pack is around $160, to hit the 3% qualifying level every month they are spending $250+ a month or selling a certain amount of the product and in return they get a $10 check.

Third most Amway Global Ibo’s don’t know how to get leads without getting rejected.  So this also hurts duplication in their team because most people hate being rejected.  They only way they know how to market is by making a list of family, friends and handing out flyers at the mall.

Now lets talk about what you need to do to have success in Amway Global.  This might shock you, but the first step to building a successful business is to market yourself and not your www.amway.com website.  If you remember when you saw the Amway plan it is about YOU inc.  If you haven’t noticed your prospects don’t care about amway, people join people not business opportunities.  So market yourself to your prospects.  You have to show them that working with YOU is going to make their life easier or better than it already is.  The only way you will be able to do this is by asking your prospect questions and listening to what they want.  Only after you know how joining Amway Global will help them should you talk about your business.

Next, learn how to market your business online.  There are close to 2 million people every month that are on google actively looking for a home business.  Do you think it would be better if you learned some online marketing skills so you can have people who actually want to build a home business contacting you daily?  Of course it would!  Not only will you have qualified people chasing you, but you will also eliminate getting rejected.  You should also learn some offline marketing that is rejection proof.  Why?  It will be easier for your downline to duplicate.  This business is not about what you can do but what you can duplicate.

Third you need to have a way that your prospects can get into profit within their first 90 days.  The Professional network marketers do this by using a sales funnel or a funded proposal.  When your leads come through a funded proposal they are a highly qualified lead.  Why? They have spent money to learn how to be successful in business.  A sales funnel is great because it allows your prospects to make money on the 90%+ of people that are going to say no to the business and they can turn a round and spend the profits on advertising.  This is one of the biggest secrets that most people don’t know about.
